Tiffany T asked: I hurt my trapezeous while at work and it is being covered by workmans comp (I have pain in my shoulders, neck, and in between shoulder blades) while at work and now I’ve been to physical therapy, and been on pain killers and muscle relaxers that the doctor said that he didn’t think that I needed to be on any more. (concerned about stomach) I still hurt a lot and it is affecting my sleep even. The doctor says I should just take tylenol and I AM taking as much tylenol as I can – it is starting to affect my stomach…I don’t feel that the doctor is listening, I already am getting a second doctors opinion, but they work together in the same office. I fear that I’ll just have to live with this pain and I don’t feel that I can!
It doesn’t hurt unless I use it, but I have to use it sometimes at work, and at home cleaning, and it sucks not being able to be as sexually active with my husband… Help me, I’m so frusterated!
I have to stay with who I’m allowed to go to with workmans comp
It was enough of a hassle to get a second opinion – I’d love to get to go to a competent doctor.
I’ve been taken off of Chiropractic care as well which is also frusterating
They have me using a home care Eppi thing that sends little shocks to my muscles that the pads are stuck where my knots in my back are and it helps some. I have been getting massage but I have to be careful if I go to a chiropractor that isn’t approved because then I could be liable for all the medical bills when it should be covered by work!
Well I was looking for what to SAY to my doctor as I was going to go see him again, and he did actually get me back on a day time muscle relaxer, a different night time muscle relaxer and a pain med too and some new pool therapy. I had my husband call and leave his secretary a message for him expressing our frustration about the previous care that I had been getting. Thanks all for the suggestions – but since none of you put what to “SAY” I’m putting it to a vote…
