I am struggling with fibromyalgia and i don’t want to take steroids. I don’t eat very much but seem to feel really bloated and chubby. Of course I hurt all of the time and generally just feel tired. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Fioricet, Tramadol, Ultracet at the cheapest prices

Only thing to do is see your doctor. Swelling and bloating could be something totally different like heart or kidney disease.

hello, well first off, have you been told by a doctor to take water pills? alot of different things can cause bloating. i get it all of the time. i have fibromyalgia also and i feel for you. been suffering with a large hosts of illnesses for over 20 yrs. you may need to change your diet, or see a gastrointerologist or just see what your pcp says. good luck, sorry i wasn’t much help, but with this sickness we have it could be ANYTHING!! hope you have a good day today.

I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia over 4 years ago but have had it a few years longer than that. What works best for me is following the blood type diet (do a google search on it). I am O+ and if I avoid wheat, dairy, and potatoes products amoung other things, I have a lot more energy, don’t feel bloated much at all, and my muscles feel better. Rainy days like today I feel lousy, but them I only slept 5 1/2 hours last night. I do not take any drugs for it. I have not had advil but once in the past 2 months. Hope this helps.

steriods don’t help much with Fibromyalgia-there is no inflammtiom–

if yo have inflammtion you need to explore your diagnosis further

Fibromyalgia is beleived to be a disorder of teh central nervous system. the most promising medications are Neurological in nature (not musculoskeletal)

Yes read my Yahoo blog, I have one entry called “what helps me” where you can read what I have found to help my case of fibro. Every patient is different but much of what I learned is simply lifestyle and dietary changes. You will never know unless you try.

Steroids are not generally given for fibromyalgia. I suggest you find another rheumatologist if they are considering putting you on steroids.
