Can muscle relaxers have a reverse effect sometimes?

Miss Lace asked:

I have been taking a low dose of flexeril for about a month and most times it works great…but sometimes, I have one heck of a night! Literally tossing and turning all night and my muscles feel tight and restless all over (last night was one of those nights). I do take simply sleep or benadryl with it most nights and have noticed when I only take one it seems fine but two benadryls or simply sleeps it seems to make my muscles feel tight but I don’t know what to do because I need simply sleep to sleep most nights…I am not even sure if that is the cause of the reverse effect but it does seem to have a pattern.

Technically Muscle Relaxers don’t help you sleep. Some people have different mucsle strengths. I would suggest eating some fiber like Weetabix and some mixed fruit before you sleep. This will build some muscle and you will get used to the feeling. Does cold or warmth make you sleep? Stop takinng sleep medication and try to make yourself comfortable on your bed. I would suggest listening to some music or humming. Maybe listen to some music or get someone to massage you

Perhaps you are experiencing “the perfect storm”, taking various medications together, along with your diet (and let’s not forget about stress) can create a multitude of issues that are not always obvious. I have scoliosis and with such experience terrible muscle spasms in my back. I take Muscle Ease by Obvious and it helps tremendously. It is an all natural herbal formulation that can be taken daily if necessary. I have provided the link for you below.
